Private reference, not government. A current warrant answer comes from the issuing court or the law-enforcement office that can verify its status. New Mexico Courts also warns against unsolicited calls or messages demanding payment.
District Court Records
For a district criminal case, start with the Thirteenth Judicial District Court rather than the County Clerk’s recording index. The court is at 1500 Idalia Road, Building A, Bernalillo, New Mexico 87004. Its published telephone is 505-867-2376, and the listed filing email is berdissuedocs@nmcourts.gov. The 2026 records-custodian order identifies the Court Executive Officer as the public-records custodian.
Use the District Court location and contacts page for current hours and court routing. Ask the clerk about a case number, warrant status, recall, appearance or document request.

Sheriff Records and Bonding
The Sheriff’s Office public records route is at 1500 A Idalia Road, Bernalillo, NM 87004, with mailing address PO Box 5219, Bernalillo, NM 87004. The public main line is 505-867-7526. Non-emergency dispatch is 505-898-7585. A records request can seek a responsive warrant-related document, return or service record, but it is not an instant live status check.
For bonding information, the county detention page lists 505-867-5339, extension 2. Detention staff do not recommend a bonding agency. Confirm the issuing court’s instructions before treating a detention or bond contact as a way to resolve a warrant.
Records Requests and Limits
Sandoval County’s Inspection of Public Records Act route begins at the county public-records page. The Sheriff’s form lets a requester ask to view or receive copies of an incident report, attachments, audio or video, or “Other.” For a warrant matter, name the court, case number, date, event or narrow document sought. The custodian may redact personal information, withhold an active-investigation record, or direct a court-held file elsewhere.
Do not use an IPRA request as a substitute for a court call. Preserve the request and response, then ask the issuing court whether the warrant was recalled or whether the information system was updated.
